Veere Di Wedding is Romantic chick flick directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi. Film is touted to be Bollywood’s first major chick flick and follows the story about four friends attending a wedding, will be releasing on 18th May 2018.
Due to Kareena’s Pregnancy, there was a lot of rumors about Kareena’s role in this movie. But after all, the work on this film has started now. This will be her first film after Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy. Actor Sumeet Vyas is playing Kareena Kapoor Khan’s love interest and with Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and debutante Shikha Talsania will also seen as leading ladies in the film.
Due to the significant delay in the project, a Punjabi film with a similar title Veerey Ki Wedding was launched starring Jimmy Shergill. Anil and Rhea Kapoor appealed to the high court regarding this matter, but lost the legal battle. Rhea Kapoor asserted that she will not be changing the title of her project.
