After successful dabbling in comedy with Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan is now back on the big screen with emotional-relationship based story, Shoojit Sircar’s October, which recently hit the screens. Varun has always been loved as a commercial actor, who likes to entertain his audiences with his styling, dancing, comedy. But, with Badlapur he surprised his fans, proving he can do something different too, and now it’s time for October.

Talking about why he did October, Varun says, “October is hunger of actor. If I can’t do it I will not be satisfied. I’m not into 9 to 6 job, where you just finish your work and take away the salary home. If I was doing that, it would be a totally different thing. Here, I’m in a creative field so I can experiment with myself. After Badrinath, Judwaa I could not face the camera just like that as I was not feeling happy from inside and to keep smile, it was my requirement.”

He adds, “When I was not an actor, I wanted to own a TV channel and wanted to interview director-actors, in a way entertainment journalists do. I enjoy everything about cinema. I want to play hero, drama, comedy. Shashank Khaitan’s comedy is different. Shoojit Sircar’s humour, you don’t feel it’s humour. I think I’m cinema bug. “

Varun Dhawan is playing a Hotel staffer in October and he did a lot of preparation and training for his character, and actual groundwork which the hotel staff does. But, as a celebrity, how much he does it for himself was more interesting to know.
“As a kid, I used to do a certain thing in my home, which were very. I used to fold clothes very badly and used to show my mom. She used to give me look and asked me to remove everything from the cupboard and she used to fold again, and keep everything inside. I wouldn’t say it was because of I born with silver spoon, but because I was small at home. We were not so well off in my life. For 15 years, we used to live in the small house I used to go to school by auto. I used to enjoy that most. I used to take an auto from Juhu and specially juhu beache pe jo hawa aati hai in auto in morning, I enjoyed it a lot,” Varun goes on to add.
Varun, who is most loved by his fans as the star is getting busier day by day. But something he is noticing very closely, Time.
“Time kam pad jata hain. I can’t spend time with my mother. She is having a hard time, and she is not liking at all. Of course, she is happy with the way I’m growing in my work, but I can see in her eyes — mera beta kaha gayab ho gaya. My brother and father are in the same profession, and she knows how things function, still she is having trouble dealing with it,” Varun laments.
